We’re launching a new project and just released the framework today, but we need some help.
http://banthebanwisconsin.com/scorecard.aspx
What we’re doing is launching a Legislator Scorecard for the ban so people can check out their district and see where the candidates or incumbents stand.
Right now I’ve just finished getting up the Senate seats up for election in 2008, and contacted most of the people I have listed, but if anybody knows somebody’s stance on the ban or knows of anybody running that I don’t have listed, please let us know so we can update the list.
The assembly candidates will be up tomorrow, and the same request stands.
Either way, this is a big project so anybody who is willing to help out by pestering these people for answers would be a huge help.
The list will be updated whenever new info comes in, so check back if we don’t have the poop on your district yet. We’re working on it!

This is the hard work you really need to do in order to win. Those lawmakers who pledge to oppose a smoking ban should receive immediate financial and other campaign support. I know that I will send checks to those lawmakers who fight to keep a smoking ban off my family’s bar!
Bill is right – I couldn’t begin to find out this info – but I too will send a check to any lawmaker opposing the ban.
Sen. Alberta Darling is/was a co-sponsor on the legislation but was convinced to offer an amendment that would exclude cigar lounges, etc. since ’second-hand’ smoke was not an issue in those establishments.
I was starting to make a post on this issue this morning, since I do have information on the stances of certain Wisconsin lawmakers on the Wi. smoking ban bill. However, one of my parents closed out my web browser(as I stupidly forgot to save my post on my computer), before I was able to post it this morning.
I’ll try again to make the post by either later tonight, or at the latest over this weekend.
