Smoke Free Wisconsin strikes again, and their fearless leader once again proves how much she likes talking to the news media (but nobody else, of course).
Funny thing is that she all but tells the Tavern League to give up the fight because there are better things to spend time and money on. Yet, I seem to remember that we have been making that claim since the very beginning. After all, while this state is coming apart at every seam, why are we even talking about smoking bans and why are we letting a militant little band of nannies try to steer our lives when we can’t get our butts out of crime and economic hardship?
But despite that little nuisance called reality, SFWI has the nerve to claim that opposition to a ban should just give up and go home because there’s just other things that we could be doing.
So here’s what I have to say to Smoke Free Wisconsin and their media-loving leader:
Bring it on!
We’ll fight you every step of the way, and then some. While the Tavern League may have an array of issues at hand, we do not. We have just one goal and purpose, and that is to stand against tyrannical, oppressive and abusive treatment of tobacco, smokers and any establishment that chooses to allow it on their premises.
So whine all you want and continue to ignore us like you have been, Ms. Busalacchi, but as long as we’re around, there will be a fight… And sooner or later you’re going to have to acknowledge us.
