Yet more truth from a smoke hater. (I will admit I was hammering him pretty hard on the science behind the bans.)
Get it says; You think that crap websites like Dave Hitt and the wisconsin anti ban site will keep the smoking bans and the increased taxes from coming, but it will not.
Remember, that this is a two pronged battle. Bans are one part and taxes are another. Indiana did not see a comprehensive ban this year, but the state did see an increase in smoke taxes.
You do not seem to realize the sheer number of people that do not want to be exposed to second hand smoke. Look at Ohio. The voters VOTED FOR a ban. That lends credence to all the polls that show that most people favor smoking bans and that most people believe that SHS is not safe.
Keep on fighting and us “antis” will keep on raising your smoke taxes to exorbatant levels while we implement the smoking bans. One way or another we will decrease our exposure to SHS.

They are nothing more than a group of tavern owners looking out for their own interests, very similar to a union. After eight months, many small neighborhood bars in Chicago are choosing to stay in business by ignoring the ban. American is still the “land of the Brave” Now that people realize that a well funded “war on smokers” was waged when Chantix was introduced to the public, many groups are forming across the nation.
It’s funny how when that “evil” Tavern League uses their Constitutionally assured rights, they are branded as nasty, bad, abusive etc… But when the Cancer Society or Smoke Free Wisconsin does the exact same thing, just pulling in a different direction, it’s all good.
These people are bloody idiots. Pure and simply. They wouldn’t know real civics if the book hit them in the head. All they know is getting their way; and when they don’t get their way the system is “obviously” broken in some way…
