Right at the end, the smoke-free bar owner, “Rodney says yes to the ban…”
1. Rodney’s bar was empty
2. Rodney was able to utilize his freedom choice
3. No one disrespects Rodney’s choice to be smoke free
4. In spite of all this, Rodney still wants to take away his neighbor’s freedom of choice.
The Rodney’s of the world are pompous A$$holes and I hope his business fails.
See, now that’s really a lie – I would never wish failure on anyone and that is why I would never force a choice like this on anyone – and also why I can’t understand the mindset that does.
Funny you posted that, since I remember watching the owner of the Kenosha bar Rendevous(sp?) in a video clip from one of the TV news websites about the proposed Kenosha smoking ban saying that he hoped it’d pass. (not the exact quote) Interestingly, he chose on his own accord to make his bar smoke-free, and you think he’d respect freedom of choice on this issue!
I’m guessing Rodney’s is another Kenosha bar that’s smoke-free, based on Jeni’s post. In comparison to these 2 K-town bars, at least I remember once watching a video article from a local TV news website in Eau Claire, and thought it was really refreshing to hear that the owner of Dooley’s Pub(who had already made his bar smoke-free, BEFORE the Eau Claire ban started) saying on that video clip that he opposed a citywide smoking ban! *sigh at how some bar owners aren’t open to freedom of choice…*
