If Doyle gets his way we will be one step closer to Socialism and the abolishment of property rights. Don’t believe me, just look to the west and you will see that business losing property rights is just a stepping stone.
We hope the attempt to ban smoking in cars where children are riding falls [...]

This is a great segment. It features Minnesota’s Sue Jeffers debating the smoking ban issue with one of the authors of Minnesota’s “Freedom to Breathe Act.” Sue has been an invaluable ally for BtBMN and a great ally to the cause.

Well, we pulled it off! In less than five days, Shawn and Sheila from Ban the Ban Minnesota and I threw together a presentation for the Conservative Issues Fair in Bloomington, Minnesota, and it was a great success!
Nearly 90% of the folks we spoke with said that they didn’t smoke, but they recognized that smoking [...]

Ban the Ban Wisconsin is proud to promote our fledgling sister organization, Ban the Ban Minnesota!
As most of you already know, Minnesota passed a statewide smoking ban last year. Tavern owners have watched their sales drop, and many have closed or are struggling to stay open. Taverns across the St. Croix river here in [...]

Minnesotans can’t help themselves I guess. They get their smoking ban victory, and 9-months later they’re still gloating about their victory as well as complaining about smoke…
Nine months and smoke-free: It’s already paying off
Congratulations, Minnesota, for making it nine months smoke-free! I know that going smoke-free is old news, but I continue to hear the [...]

This one falls right in Shawn’s lap as Minnesota’s leader on smoking ban issues, so I won’t get into it too much other than to say that anybody who thinks that this has a thing to do with public health needs to be checked into a mental hospital, because secondhand smoke exposure at an outdoor county [...]

Yes, sadly the presiding judge has issued a temporary injuction against the Bullseye Saloon at the request of the MN Dept of Health. A hearing will be held on the issue, however until then the bar has its hands tied by the Health Deptartment.

Anti-smoking hysteria has reached heights of sheer madness in Woodbury, Minnesota, where the question being raised is whether the city should ban smoking in outdoor recreational areas.
Honestly.
Minnesota has illegal immigrants driving around slamming into school buses and killing children while these freaks are wringing their hands over a wisp of smoke in the out [...]

Our friends on the other side of the river had a good time with their fundraier event this past weekend! They’re working to help bar owner Robert Ripley (of the Bullseye Saloon) with his defense fund as the state is going after him for violating the smoking ban by hosting “theatre nights” at his place.
We [...]

Our good friend, Bob Moffitt of the American Lung Association, turned up again over at MinnPost. Since I don’t know if they will publish my comment over there, I thought I would repost my comment here with the hopes of shedding some light on things.
